How every fact is checked

   Official records first

   Election Commission results, sworn election affidavits, Parliament and Assembly records, and court records. News reports only where no official record exists, and never social media alone.

   A person checks every fact

   Researchers and software can only prepare drafts. Nothing appears on RecordPe until a reviewer has matched it against its source and published it.

   The source is always shown

   Every fact links to the document it came from, so you can check it yourself.

How we show a criminal case

Every case shows where it stands. Only a court can decide guilt.

Our rules

• Same rules for every party

  Every party and neta gets the same sections, the same layout and the same standard of proof, for good records and bad.

• A case is not guilt

  We always show the stage a case has reached, and update acquittals as soon as they are on record.

• Survivors are never named

  In cases of sexual violence we never name or identify the survivor.
